An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
